Democrats' propaganda has backfired

So as to keep things interesting around here I tend not to write about the same old things you can find on, say, the FOX News website, but it sure is tough not to discuss the Biden fiasco.

Yet another problem the Democrats face with Biden is this: their propaganda about his fitness and health, and their dismissal of videos that seemed to suggest the opposite, worked too well. Their base bought it.

So it's not as easy as it sounds for the party to turn around and say that in fact no, Biden is not fit.

It's exactly what happened to former New York governor Andrew Cuomo when he finally lifted Covid restrictions in New York in June 2021.

He tried telling everyone what saner people had been saying from the beginning: we cannot live like this in perpetuity, we're going to destroy the city if we don't reopen, etc.

But his earlier propaganda had been too effective: lots and lots of New Yorkers bought it and continued to live in terror (even as the rest of the country had resumed normal life, with no ill effects), so even when Cuomo himself tried to walk them all off the ledge, they were already too far gone. There was no reaching them.

My money is on Biden remaining the candidate. The difficulties involved in replacing him at this late stage seem insurmountable.

And for anyone thinking Gavin Newsom will be the candidate, I remind you of what Larry Elder told me on the Tom Woods Show: there is absolutely no way, given the race obsession and wokery of the Democrats, that they could possibly get away with replacing Kamala, the natural substitute nominee, with a white man like Gavin Newsom. Not happening.

Let's not forget, too, that Kamala polls worse against Trump than Biden does, so she's an even less appealing option than she initially appears.

At any rate, as I write this I'm in a plane on my way to Las Vegas right now, since I'll be speaking at FreedomFest tomorrow, and then Saturday as part of a panel alongside Matt Kibbe, the great Matt Ridley, and Congressmen Thomas Massie (Kentucky) and Warren Davidson (Ohio).

If any of you good folks will be there, please say hello!

And finally, a reminder for homeschoolers: it's just about that time again, and if you're planning to use the self-taught, video-based Ron Paul Curriculum, be sure to use my link to join, because only then do you get my valuable bonuses:
