Career Track Day with Dr. Marc Halpern

Which career track are you on? Do you want to be an Ayurvedic Health Counselor, Clinical Ayurvedic Specialist,

or Medical Ayurvedic Specialist?


In this special class, open to our students who are in, or have graduated from Principles of Ayurvedic Medicine, 

Dr. Halpern will explore what a career looks like, how each practitioner is different, the additional courses you’ll need to take for certification, and answer all your questions.

CCA is committed to your success. Each month, Dr. Marc Halpern opens the door to his virtual office so that you can walk in and ask any questions. 


Dr. Halpern holds two sessions. One for students in the Principles of Ayurveda course and one for the Ayurvedic Health Counselor internship students. Dr. Halpern often picks a topic or tells stories if there are no questions. This is a great time to share a cup of tea and Ayurvedic wisdom with our founder, Dr. Marc Halpern.

Ayurvedic Health Counselor

An Ayurvedic Health Counselor (AHC) is a specialist in disease prevention and health promotion. Strong counseling skills are the foundation of any Ayurvedic practice. Students are trained for a scope of practice that utilizes the five sensory therapies: diet, aromatherapy, sound, color, and touch.  An Ayurvedic Health Counselor guides their patients/clients and supports them to adopt a healthy lifestyle. Graduates are prepared to go into private practice. Clinical Ayurvedic Specialist

A Clinical Ayurvedic Specialist (CAS) not only supports patients to adopt a healthy diet and lifestyle, they are also proficient in the management of disease allowing graduates to work with a wider variety of patients. Students will study the diseases that affect each system of the body from both an Ayurvedic and Western perspective.  This program includes extensive training in herbal medicine.

Medical Ayurvedic Specialist Program

A Medical Ayurvedic Specialist (MAS) is an Ayurvedic Practitioner with the most advanced training. They have the greatest depth of Ayurvedic education in the United States and the strongest background in understanding Western Medicine.  Graduates act as a bridge between both worlds and are best prepared to either go into private practice or integrate into the Western healthcare community. During this program, students learn how to interpret laboratory tests and understand modern research while gaining greater experience working with patients. (Learn More)
