• Joseph uncovered a privacy issue in the New York subway that allowed stalkers to track peoples’ movements. The MTA shut down the feature in response.
• Emanuel investigated a platform being used to generate non-consensual pornography with artificial intelligence. The platform then introduced new restrictions on adult content content, limiting abuse.
• California passed right to repair legislation that in part came from Jason’s dogged reporting on the issue.
• Amazon removed potentially dangerous AI-generated books following Sam’s reporting.
• Joseph revealed how hackers and violent criminals were tapping into credit report data. An impacted data broker stopped lookups on particular people when 404 Media questioned the practice.
