I'm Alvaro, the writer/operator of this little niche newsletter called Frame & Flame.

Currently squeezed into an airplane seat at 30,000 feet, somewhere over France, on my way back to Madrid.

Now, who am I?

Well, I'm someone who spends hours every week exploring the art world. I look for up-and-coming artists or those who are about to break into the big time.

In these searches, I find plenty of fascinating artists. Some of them find a spot in my personal collection, but many do not meet my specific requirements in terms of style, size, or entry price.

At first, I just kept notes on my phone about these artists and shared them with a few friends.

But I noticed more and more people were curious about how I found these artists.

They wanted to know more.

That’s when I realized I could help others by sharing these finds.

So, I started Frame & Flame, a newsletter for folks who are passionate about discovering and collecting art.

Outside of that, I also coach founders of seven and eight-figure internet businesses and am a growth marketing and business consultant for some startups.

I’m now based in Madrid with my wife, Vir, and my dogs, Chorizo and Trufo. It’s a busy life, but I love it.
